A BETTER TOMORROW

Metropolitan Park is set to transform an unused parking lot—once dubbed the “Valley of Ashes” by F. Scott Fitzgerald—into a vibrant hub that celebrates the spirit of Queens. This new green space will offer job opportunities, a lush park, and a place for connection and community, benefiting both locals and visitors alike.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Job security is a top priority for our community, and several outstanding organizations are working hard to ensure that everyone who is willing and able has access to employment opportunities. With the redevelopment of LaGuardia Airport, a wealth of new jobs have emerged, offering our community a chance to actively participate in this exciting growth.

ELECTION DAY

Kamala Harris could become the first female president of the United States, but voting for her is more than just casting a ballot—it’s an act of freedom. Her opponent's proposed policies could create an unprecedented culture of fear and violence in this nation. For the sake of our future and the future of our children, make sure to vote for Kamala Harris on November 5th.

55TH ANNIVERSARY

This September marked the 55th anniversary of the Langston Hughes Culture Center and Library, a cherished institution that has grown far beyond a place to borrow books. It has become a vital community center, offering resources, events, and a gathering place for all.
